The 5 D's of Dieting....
when you catch yourself eating more than you would like follow the D's........
DETERMINE---determine whats going on?
DELAY---delay your response by figuring out what driving your urge to eat. is itanger? boredom? loneliness? stress?
DISTRACT---distract yourself for at least 10 minutes. take a short walk water a plant or read a poem.
DISTANCE---distance yourself from temptation throw away the bag of chips!
DECIDE---decide if your fork is already deep in the pice of cake take a moment to figure out how to handle the situation. will you stop eating or continue? its okto keep going as long as you make a conscious choice to continue rather than being helplessly out of control
